In this video, we’re going to talk about what causes constipation.

I have a question for you. Why do people sometimes poop less when they have more fiber? Well, sometimes consuming more fiber doesn’t work. In fact, we’re going to talk a lot about this “fiber myth.”

The myth is that fiber will create bulk and absorb water to help you eliminate more.

The problem is, those with chronic constipation actually consume the same amount of fiber as those without constipation.

Those who are constipated often experience worse constipation when they add more fiber.

There are certain types of fiber that can help with constipation—such as prunes. However, this doesn’t go for all types of fiber.

The recommended amount of fiber per day is 35g. If you got that fiber from fruit, that would be 143g of sugar every day. That’s ten teaspoons of sugar daily!

Instead of getting your fiber from fruit, you should get your fiber from vegetables.

7 to 10 cups of vegetables daily is ideal. If a particular vegetable causes you to bloat or worsens your constipation, make sure you stop having it until your gut is in better health.

Drinking too much water can actually dehydrate your stool. This is because you can flush out vital electrolytes that keep your body hydrated.

The most important mineral for the pumping action of the colon is potassium. Make sure you get plenty of potassium in your diet.

A Closer Look At The Importance Of Nutrition And Weight Loss

While these foods, or others to be named later, do have health benefits, they generally have a down side too. Commit yourself to staying healthy now and for the rest of your life! You want to start a business, you first write a business plan.

Some weight loss food programs are better for you than others are. Some companies are masters at marketing while limiting the actual quality of the foods they put into those pretty boxes. Others give you nothing but nutrition but it tastes so bad that you cannot enjoy it. When it comes to finding meals that are right for you, both your goal to lose the pounds and your desire to eat something good, it is important to look at the nutrition included in each meal. Is this the best possible product for you?

When it comes to nutrition, dessert can be one of the hardest meals, but a lot of people forget about fruit, which makes for a healthy and smart dessert choice. If fruits aren’t your thing, try making it into a smoothie or making fruit muffins or even try something like sherbet to satisfy your sweet craving without sacrificing nutrition.

Aside from eating healthy, another important component of losing weight is regular exercise. That is why your weight loss or diet plan should include exercise. Similar to the healthy eating schedule outlined above, you may want to create an exercise schedule for yourself. When incorporating exercise into your workout plan, you have a number of different options. For instance, you can get a membership at one of your local gyms, buy workout DVDs to use at home, buy other exercise equipment, like a treadmill or a stair climber, or exercise for free with walking.

So what is bad for us and what constitutes an unhealthy healthy diet? To begin with, all that pre-prepared food from the freezers of the supermarket should not be gracing your fridge. Ready meals and most frozen food is jam packed with salt, sugar and fat. Takeaways and fast food chains all sell food that is filled with unhealthy ingredients and is laden with salt and sugar which is what makes it taste so good. Sweets and snacks such as chocolate, crisps, cakes and biscuits are certainly no good in large amounts. All contain high levels of salt, sugar and fat which will lead to many health problems. Of course eating these foods once in a while is fine but consuming them every day is a recipe for weight gain and health issues.

In the immediate future stress translates into us making the ‘easy’ food choice. Or, at least what we perceive as the easy option. For the example above, this might be the student ordering in a Dominoes Pizza, or the office worker picking up a take-away on the way home after a hard days work. However, all we’re doing is creating a ‘boom and bust’ scenario. When we eat these foods, the simple sugars will rush into our blood stream – instant satisfaction. We all know what comes next. The Crash. Two hours later, you’re tired, bloated, and can’t concentrate. You probably also feel guilty. You should! But all is not lost, it’s just important to realise how far a little preparation and the right attitude can go.

It is advisable to take at least 25 grams of fiber per day in order to achieve permanent weight loss. The most recommendable type of fiber is insoluble one. When using diet to achieve weight loss, it is advisable to avoid switching foods in a radical manner. This is something that should take place slowly. It is not wise to introduce your body with new foods suddenly. Take time to do this. You should start by slowly introducing small quantities as you increase the quantity. It is good to set you mind so that you adapt to the taste of the new foods.

It is not always easy to get your body to cooperate. That is why there are no short cuts to losing weight because you need to be diligent and work hard. It’s ironic that it’s so easy to gain weight but it’s such a huge struggle to keep it off. But keeping a desirable weight is not really a puzzle if you can see through the secret of weight loss diet. Have the discipline to tame your taste buds, eat healthy, and overcome bad eating habits to achieve weight loss success.

Everyone can lose weight, so long as they take the right steps. January- Feb – March– Goal: Give up all beverages except water. I credit the increase in vegetables and total dropping of refined carbohydrates or products made from flour.
